Pucker Up: Tips For Your Lips
Valentine's is just around the corner and it's the best time to give your kisser some much needed TLC. Show your pout some love, and enjoy having lips that are well-nurtured and comfortable. Read on.
1. Exfoliate your lips once a week. Use a gentle lip scrub or make your own at home using a mixture of sugar and honey. Gently massage the scrub onto your lips in circular motions, then rinse for instantly softer lips.
2. Drink plenty of water. Just like the rest of your skin, your lips need hydration. Make sure you're drinking enough water throughout the day to keep your entire body, including your lips, well-hydrated.
3. Slather on a lip balm with SPF before going outdoors. Even in the cloudy weather, it’s important to protect your lips from the sun. The sun can burn dry, chapped lips easily.
4. Stop licking, biting, and picking at your lips. Picking or biting your lips irritates them, which can prevent healing. When you catch yourself biting your lips, try applying a non-irritating lip balm instead.
5. Overnight Treatment. Apply a thicker layer of moisturizing lip balm before bedtime. This allows the product to work its magic while you sleep, leaving you with softer lips in the morning.
By following these tips for your lips, you should have noticeable improvement in 2 to 3 weeks. Here's to a month filled with love and romance!
XOXO,
